Route to Elgin.

Hi!
I wonder which route is faster for rigid.
Going from Perth to Elgin so is choice between A95 and A96 through Aberdeen.
Any advice for noob?

A9, A96. Not really much as a viable alternative. I suppose you could go A941/A96.

Do you not have Google Maps/Map Book/Sat Nav?

Not much in either routes (A9/96 or 941/96), just remember it’s 40MPH in Jockland on singles, the scamera vans are very much alive in that neck of the woods. EDIT:- Actually, I think the A9 is 50mph, so that may be quicker.

A9/A95/A940. No contest.

Oops, A939 then A940

No chance. A9, A95 (2nd exit for Aviemore), A941.

I thought use A90 to Aberdeen due to dual c/way.A95 seems to be to curvy .

None of the above. Come off A9 at Aviemore & continue straight thru Aberlour & up onto Elgin. No need to go to Forres.

I sometimes go to Gordonstoun School near Elgin .The locals advised me to return to Perth via Forres .As said dont waste time and fuel going to Aberdeen.

and if your feet get wet ,you’ve gone to far

A9 off at aviemore up whisky trail

This is the one, off the A9 after Aviemore for Grantown on Spey A95 , just stay on the A95 and the road your on turns into the A941 as the 95 goes off at a right turn at Craigellachie , though if you want to go from Grantown upto forres its not a bad road and theres not much on it so you can hoof along a bit if you want , one thing is certain though and its that you want to be no where near Aberdeen

I read the subject title and thought “Aye aye someone’s lost their marbles”

A9 to the 2nd aviemore turn off then on to the A95 (whisky trail). The A95 turns right but you dont turn off and the road ahead will take you straight to Elgin. The A95 looks worse than it is

I only live about 4 miles from Gordonstoun ( snobbish load of stawt) so when you leave Hopeman you pass must me in the next village on your way to Forres ■■
edit … the people who run the Duffas Inn just before you enter down that wee single track do a good nosh but pricey though, but if you fancy a treat …
