Have you heard of something called a map book. Its quite a clever invention…you open it, read it and it shows you the best route from Avonmouth to Milton Keynes.
Jeeeez im starting to get fed up of people asking for directions to a fairly easy and obvious route.
As long as your trl or load isn’t higher than 16ft 4.8mtr

This ^^ or you could miss out M40 bit and do A4421 around Bicester then join up with A421. It’ll take about 2hrs 50 mins to get there give or take.

Why would anybody with an ounce of geographical knowledge even consider the M25.
Yes , i am old but i have a map.
It is an old map but the towns and cities have not moved. When i first started driving,my old man gave me an AA map book.
It was called Bletchley btw .

Thankyou for your useful and helpful comment, but I must ask. Why spend what is obviously your very precious time even responding to my question if you are fed up of it?

+2… Avonmouth to Milton Keynes ffs…
oh, if you are over 16’ you might want to go to M4 j13 then up thd A34 .
I can’t see anything wrong with what the op has asked ,we don’t know how old toonarmy is or what experience he has ,someone may say don’t bother with a certain road this week due to road works ect ect in which case it’s not daft question .
Dan P-you don’t drive a class 2 flatbed DX60*** with a numberplate saying ‘WEE DAVIE’ in the windscreen by any chance■■?
Not me sorry .
A different D Punchard !!!
Regards anyway.
Dx60 sounds like one of my cousins lorries 'Punchards ’ I’ve not come across that driver though ,you’ll see me in a blue sprinter a blue Erf or a pink Daf but they’ll be nothing in the window as it will all be thrown on to the bed !
It was carrying plant yesterday in Northwich. I just happened to let him out at the lights and recognized the surname from this forum.

15ft 3" bridge on the 4421 at Newton Purcell/just before Finmere.
If you want to hang it out a bit- M5 to Gloucester off at 11a, east along the 417 up over the Air Balloon Roundabout onto the 436 to the A40, t/r to Oxford then onto the A34, M40, A43, A421. If your going south or central MK stay on the 421 at Buckingham, if your going north MK follow the signs to Northampton A422 (brings you out at Old Stratford/top of the A5D)
Bit longer, but handy to know if the M4 is stitched up.
I know a driver on Samworths that goes M5 M42 M6 M1 flat out and he reckons it only takes 10 mins or so longer by the book.
But as said a good map wouldn’t go a miss
