I’d go to Dover-Calais.

A26/E15 - Arras/Saint-Omer/Reims/Paris
A4/E50 - Reims-Centre/Strasbourg/Lyon
A5 - Chaumont/Lyon/Mulhouse/Dijon
A7
A9 - Barcelone/Montpellier/Roquemaure/Nimes/Toulouse
AP-7 through the border La Jonquera and then it’s straight forward. Just follow signs for Barcelona I guess.

That’s a route I always travel on every summer.

Jessicas Dad, I’d say go from Portsmouth to Bilbao. It saves you 100km driving if you were to choose Santander. Barcelona is around 600km from Bilbao. From Santander it’s around 700km.

Not even in the days of the dodgy credit cards & red diesel would the famously dodgy Vxxx Davis (scouser :unamused: ) have allowed any of his men to take a route like that.

(who mentioned dodgy credit cards & red■■?)

That is the standard route all coach companys take to Spain,it has a lot of decent services for the punters to use and passes by Orange/Monpellier which is were all the bottom enders are based. It is an expensive route for the tolls though.
I would maybe take that route if i was in my car and in a rush to get to spain for my hol`s,but not in a wagon.
Alex tell your mate he is talking balls doing Spain via Lux
