Roundhouse truckstop Gloucester (1960's)

Does anyone remember the roundhouse truckstop in Gloucester, my wifes aunt used to run it and was remiscing the other day (she lost her husband a few years back). It would be great to pass on any memories the truckers she used to look after have of it.
As a memory jogger there would also have been a downs sydrome girl there called Joaney. They used to have a lot of guests there from south Wales on their way to London.

Any idea as to the location of this truckstop? What road was it on? or maybe a photo…Cheers

Oops sorry not been here for a while.

It was located where the BP garage at the end of Westgate Street is now, on the big roundabout with the shops in the middle (Dunhelm Mill, Jollys petshop etc.).
It had real regulars and if anyone does remember being one it would please the daft old bat (wifes untie not the wife) no end.

Would it have been called a “truckstop” in the 1960s?

It was originally called the The Roundhouse Cafe but it was a truckstop (before sleeper cabs), they charged 5 shillings a night, bed breakfast and evening meal, it was owned and run by Mr. and Mrs. White and their son Ron who later married Laura, they all worked there.
