Is it just me that drives a car as well as a truck? I drive regularly through a large city on a main route with many roundabouts.
When I am in an artic or sometimes a coach I never have any problems.Granted you see the odd idiot in a car but I make sure I stay well clear.
However when I drive my car I find an awful lot of artic drivers want to take up the whole roundabout when it is not necessary.
They intentionally block you off and cut across lanes for no reason and seem to get angry if you dare to pass them.
Thankfully they are in the minority but why do they do it? Any other truck/car drivers noticed these bully tactics?

If they are blocking you off and cutting across lanes i would of thought this was self explanatory, they are probably giving themselves enough room to manoevre? They then get angry when you pass them when they are doing this ? I’d say they’re not angry at you but angry at themselves for not blocking you off correctly so that they can manoevre safley without having to worry about passing cars getting in blind spots etc.
I can’t say i’ve noticed blocking off and cutting across for no reason though.

has anybody noticed how many roundabouts are being replaced with traffic lights at cross roads ?It’s because the standard of driving is getting worse by the day and people can’t use them properly. Getting like the yanks.
I blame immigration, you get third world people over here so you get third world driving.that could be a slightly racist thing to say

the problem with roundabouts is people born in england but with an asian background driving round roundabouts with false driving licences cos they got someone else to take the test for them

You are missing my point.They do not require the room they are taking to manoeuvre.As I said I regularly drive that route in an artic and can quite easily leave room for cars to pass when they want.They are large roundabouts with no need to straddle lanes.Maybe the odd low loader might need more room but the average artic certainly does not.
As for who is getting angry I would say the horn blasting,the flashing headlamps and gesticulations prove they are the ones with the anger and not me.I just find it sad and frustrating to see such a poor standard of driving coming from so called professionals.
