roping and sheeting

Soldier z:

Do any trainers offer roping and sheeting courses

Get hold of an old driver 60+
You’ll learn more in half an hour than on any course.

Haha, not from me they wouldn’t! :open_mouth:

Pete.

They won’t learn zb from me ,I’m delivering it whilst you old timers are still trying to make it look nice ,bungy cord best invention ever for this job !

we did what was necessary with the tackle provided , straps and bungee cords hadn’t been invented , come to that you hadn’t been invented either . dave

I think that Dan was at the planning stage though Dave, he ain’t THAT young you know! It seemed to take my old chap ages to sheet his eight legger when on Thermalite, a heck of a lot of time gone out of his working day just loading the blooming thing and then nearly as long unloading it at t’other end. No wonder he only did one load a day!

Pete.

Punchy Dan:

Only difference is Dan you’d have to go there and back a dozen times with a Skate board whereas us old timers would do the job in one hit on a proper motor so we could take our time and make a good job of sheeting and roping, anyhow what are you Bungee twangers and Tipper wallopers doing infecting this great thread. :open_mouth: :open_mouth:    Cheers Dennis.

Thats fine but turn over is vanity ,profit is sanity ,iam not into this V8 cheque shirt talk ( no offence Mike ) also Dennis the Erf is a bit bigger than any lorry ever run by BTS !

Now then Dan’l my Boy :open_mouth: , and they both had 8 wheels at the back-end not 6 as depicted in your shot!   Cheers Dennis.

24 ton one hit ! Oh! and at a great rate as well

In that weather Bewick the fly sheet would do would,nt it …but that would mean roping over it …a big no!no! looks good though !!

Front sheet, back sheet, corner boards, ropes, fly sheet. Yet another easy load for BTS!

What a bummer its hand ball at the other end …a tail end drop too !!!

image.jpgsorry Dennis here’s the rest of it ,26 tonne payload and 43 ft of bed space ,can also lift 5 tonne of at a time ,like I said a bit bigger than Bts ,regards The Bungee kid !

we’ve had bigger than that in here drive !

FOUL :open_mouth: you were talking about “lorries” Dan’l not lorry and trailer combinations ! The kind of combination you are running had no place or use in the Bewick fleet so, in a straight comparison our 6 wheelers were bigger than yours !    Cheers Dennis.

But we did do the job correctly ROF not like a lot of “corner cutting” cowboy outfits who were continually in “lumber” so my conscience is clear !     :laughing:Cheers Bewick.

Back sheet, Front sheet"-

What about “full of sheet” ROF ? Cheers Bewick.
