Wierd that, I’ve just seen a picture of that on Rabbits face book page…

I don’t know Roly, although I have met Him a time or two but do remember this lorry being done at Theo’s garage in Athens.

Nice looking set up.

I know Roly well we live in the same village, I have a pint and a natter with quite often. A very nice guy but not driving trucks now.

Hi flysheet I remember Roly Long’s truck being converted at Theo’s garage,I have a couple of pics somewhere,I’ll try to dig them out and post them.

When you next see Roly,ask him if he remembers Dave Simons he had 2 Scania’s running Middle East, he lived in between Petersfield and Midhurst,I think the village was Stedham.
I haven’t see Roly for years,tell him Richard who used to run the round timber lorries in Petersfield sends his regards.

Hi Altitude.Just as a matter of curiosity what is Roly doing now if he’s not driving.I remember when he stayed with us when i was living in Holland,nice guy i always enjoyed meeting him along the way through the years…Mike

No problems mate will do that. I hope to see him over the weekend, don’t see him in the week now he’s not getting home very early. I’ve tried to get him on here but no luck yet :unamused: Do you know Nick The Greek :question:
I have a pint with him quite often in Petersfield.

Rolys driving plant now mate, I have only known Roly since moving here 3 years ago, but by some of the old photos I have seen he’s not changed. I will mention you to him.

I will pass your regards on to then both this weekend, I’m sure your name will stir up some memories. Sorry mate but Dave Johnston not a name that comes to mind, the problem is being so close to Pompy there are still a few of the old middle east boys around, I will ask them both and let you know.

There is a chap near here that used to run to Greece called Ken Keene,can’t remember what he drove.I think he had a Marathon at one time.
