I volunteer at a railway where we’re carrying out a heavy overhaul of a 1950’s Yorkshire diesel electric shunting engine.
Any way, both heads have been pulled off and have found all 6 cylinder liners are shot.
We’re in the process of pulling them out, and looking to source some new ones.
Anyone got any ideas of suppliers?

David Crouch of Crouch Recovery has a RRC6 complete engine for sale which might be a better option than trying to source a set of liners for it.
Know what your saying gingerfold, but we’d like to keep its original block etc, as we’ve gone to the stage of ensuring we kept the original traction motor and generator after being over hauled.
If push does come to shove we’ve got around 5/6 C6TFL’s kicking around. But this picticular engine is a C6SFL so we’ve got the added issues with a supercharger being fitted
