Roll over junction 15 m6

Big Chris:
It wouldn’t take a week dafpower. I reckon two days and panic would set in.

I saw a well spoken older guy, in he late 60’s early 70’s (Posh old Git) kick up a stink in the Co-op, Why? Because he usually walk down to the shop at this time, buys a paper and a small bottle of milk, but on this occasion the delivery truck was late, and it was being unloaded ask they spoke, the young lady asked him if he would like to wait 5 mins until it came off the truck… He flew into a rage!!! For some people it would take a matter of minutes for panic to set in lol

An unreasonable response, but don’t expect the gen public to be supportive of truck drivers when the media shows them to be shutting major roads for hours often due to driver error

We we’re watching a video at the CPC course last week of the new Merc auto proximity brake. Could you imagine using that on the M60/65 intersection of a morning. I reckon the processor would have a meltdown what with all the cars diving into your safe zone

Panic would have set in several days before any such strike action. You only have to look at the chaos on/around the forecourts when they even mention the possibility of a disruption in supplies.

If the News media started talking about a national truck drivers strike, the supermarket shelves would be stripped bare within hours.

What is your point. That we should accept crap truck drivers because we need food on the shelves ?

We need firemen but I’m not too on them being poor at their job either.

What the industry needs are good truck drivers that get to their destination without crashing. And that includes the ability to avoid the knobs in cars.

Eh? Where on earth do you deduce that from what I said? I simply made the observation that an effective national truck-drivers’ strike would have significant consequences even before it started. I have no idea why you draw those inferences.

Why do you want to strike?

Who said I wanted to strike■■?

The phrase above from your post indicated that you thought this that truck drivers have the ability to hold the country to ransom and that this is a good thing.

Do you?

Is English not your first language, perhaps?

Someone says if all truck drivers went on strike for a week, public attitude (to trucks) would change. Someone else said it wouldn’t even take a week before panic set in, and I said panic would probably happen even before any such strike began (citing recent action by tanker drivers as an example).

Nowhere have I expressed any opinion on the desirability, effectiveness or justification for strike action.

If you’re going to simply make stuff up and attribute it to me as if I’ve said it in order to make some point or another, I’m afraid I’m out of any such discussion.

Well that was Thursday,
Then we had Friday

Then we had today

Who knows what tomorrow will bring,

As well as the “sticky” for the near daily bridge strikes we could have one for the truck overturns if the moderators wanted to save a load of unnecessary threads starting up

Sorry for picking on you but the idea that the public would think more of truck drivers if you went on strike for any period of time is wrong

The public would see them in an even worse light.

The way to make joe public treat lorry drivers with respect is to show that they are professional.

This involves cutting down the number of times they hit things and stopping the bullying driving styles that are now far more prevalent.

I find car drivers who sit at 49mph on motorways and dual carriageways frustrating too but sitting 12" from their bumper isn’t going to help.

I imagine the processor would melt down, seeing as that intersection doesn’t exist :grimacing:

Indeed but, since theres no edit function on this mobile app I left it as is

Keep it up lad’s 4 days since the last overturn i spotted i’m sure i’ve missed a few
