So they wouldn’t let him use their toilet and not only that, they expected the company next door to let him use their toilet. and even if the driver had told them to stuff it I’ll leave and find a toilet what would be his chances of find a public toilet he could use?

Of course the haulage industry want to be a special case, it’s because they don’t want to spend the time and effort improving pay and conditions to stop drivers leaving the industry and encourage new entrants into the industry.
Maybe they should have a target of having a certain percentage of those with both a current HGV and DCPC employed in the haulage industry before they are allowed to be a special case.

A bit ott fair enough, but so is refusing a fellow human being the basic right of using a khazi.

Handball container tips & drivers not allowed access to the toilet When I asked I was told point blank drivers can’t use the facilities & to walk 1/2 a mile down the road to the McDonalds. Just as well this was just as I was leaving anyway, otherwise i’d have been going up the wheel. Nightmare situation if you’ve a turtle head, protest or not i’m not really into be forced into alfresco ■■■■■■■■.

I had a ‘sorry driver you can’t use our toilet’ a few years ago, not long before I retired. I said ok, I’m dropping the trailer and going to the services for a crap. Their shunter said, make sure you put a trestle under the front, and if your not back by the time it’s empty I will pull it off the bay for you.
Thank you I replied, now being an owner driver I was also security conscious so when I put the trestle under I fitted my kingpin lock to the trailer!!! When l arrived back after an hour the yard was in uproar with suits dancing around on their hats. The shunter was in his little hut ■■■■■■■ himself laughing at the suits. He told me this ’ toilet’ situation had been going on for a while and he’d warned them someone would react eventually. Of course I was barred from the premises but I wasn’t exactly heartbroken over that. Regards Kev.

front runner off the fleetwood boat about 9 years ago…just in time to be 1st pulled by the galaxy into bamber bridge which just had been done up with a full refurbishment…onto the scales then got told to park up till the hammer monkey came to see me.i got refused permission to use the bog.i wasnt kidding when i told them i have ibs and hoped to make charnock before exploding,but now they have stopped me then my options are to use the toilet like a human being,or id go straight under the trailer and squat on the scales…it was a either or as im not exploding in the cab where im sitting.i got out with the bog roll and wet wipes and got as fas as underneath the trailer when he relented.i wasnt trying to be cute,and when you gotta go,you gotta go.so the rules are there at their discretion,same as everywhere you deliver to.similar to a lot of other aspects of uk trucklife,theres never the same problem anywhere else you go in europe,just always the gobstick uk companies.
