Greetings Sir, you were asking about a decent overnight parking place and in error I put the location in another post , I tried to find the post where you asked but I can’t find it so the answer to your question was :
Marshals transport, the airfield at Throckmarton near Pershore , the last time I was there, they didn’t like visiting wagons near their depot so park you away from it and get watched all night on their cctv .( On the runway, watch out for the Lancasters )
No food available only a pub five miles away which is shut due to the bat flu , I think there was a shower , it’s off the beaten track and very quiet to sleep and there is some history with the WW2 airfield.
Definitely no curtains get slashed here .
Was an OTU in ww2 had Wellington Bombers their, mainly Canadians, was also an Emergency type runway for Vulcans in event of Nuclear war, Longest runway, was also a DEFRA cattle burial site, think it’s also used by quintec the Military manufacturing company.
Anorak off.

I was under the impression that Fairford was the longest runway, designated as the emergency runway for Space Shuttles. May have been as much to do with the personnel on site at the time of the Shuttle flying.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RAF_Fairf … 20airfield.
For interest (and perhaps for winning arguments or bets) here’s a list of airfield runway lengths in the UK.

Woodbridge and Carnaby aren’t the longest, but are extra wide, built to receive bombers returning from raids in WW2 which had damage and would have difficulty landing on a standard runway

Longest runway in England is Heathrow.
Doncaster/Fairford were both extended for the Coldwar Bombers Vulcans and B52, Fairford was desegregated as emergency for Space shuttle.
Woodbridge, Carnaby and Manston were ww2 Emergency runways in ww2,
Cambletown is longer than Fairford by a couple of feet.
Ellington in Yorkshire is up there too,the Yanks extended it,then left
I have researched Whitchurch airport in Bristol , used in the war, American stars used it and Winston Churchill had a body double to fool the Germans , a lot of history there , the original runway is still there , surrounded by housing estates, leisure centre and a hospital nowadays.
