I read on here that Robinsons has some negative press about the office staff?
Is it unbearable and unadvisable to work there?
Also, is it a full weeks tramping, or just a few nights?
Getting a bit desperate at the mo to get class 2 work around Worcester, Tewkesbury, Ledbury.
Handing out cvs and going to join some more agencies. This quiet period after xmas is leaving me desperate for work now.
PM if anybody prefers to keep their comments private.
Give Insight transport a call, ask for Steve Walker, they do UK and European work on wide loads, containers, flat beds, abnormal loads.
Mainly to Spain and Gibraltar, not new trucks but of variety of work, they are based at Inkberrow or Marshalls transport near Pershore on the old airfield .
Agencies create çhains . the 1 at the top asks other agencies to find people . this creates situàtion of 3 agy advertising 1 job .
But its important to try and work for agencies at top of chain , as you will be last to be cancelled , and more likely in fact to get a start
I emailed Spriggs before xmas but no reply. It was also on my list as i drove around dropping cv’s off last week. But i drove up the road leading to their place and came to the top where the trailers were parked. Couldn’t find the offices tho?
MrH:
Wye Waste Paper are after drivers, near the trumpet, Ledbury.
I spotted that one mate. Its class one tho and i’ve only got my class two. I drove a class one for the first time last week. Just onsite for 15 hours offloading steel from a ship.
I’ve dropped a cv at ABE in Ledbury and also applied at Hutchinsons.
In case anybody else has any suggestions i had better give my experience for you to read.

Previous work history in highways maintenance and house removals.
I’ll get out and graft and work my knackers off. Willing to have a bash at anything and learn quickly.
Living in Malvern so trying to be realistic with travel time/distance.
Have applied at several recycling companies already. Maybe have to look at Chillway at Tewks or the job with hours i don’t like at Cotteswold dairy. I don’t mind 5am starts, but midnight ruins any sort of lifestyle routine.
mrginge:
I think Smiths (Gloucester) have class 2 work at their Tewksbury depot. Skips, tippers, hook, dustcarts etc that your have experience in.
Cheers mate. Cv already in and had a quick chat at the office. Also dropped my cv into Digaway on friday. Definately putting the effort in. And i genuinely appreciate everybody’s help/suggestions on here
the big un:

I applied there back in november but no response. Currently no class 2 vacancies on the website but mite be worth cold calling and dropping off a cv again.

Is that DAD’s, Domestic Appliance Distributors? Norberts/XPO run the transport side of that.
I reckon thats the one. Dropped a cv into them anyway. Saw xpo advertising so will email them. Mite be going to the same person but got to be pushy sometimes.
