I can’t send you a PM because you’ve got it disabled.

Straight up - if you live in easy commute distance from Trafford Park - I’m told there is no shortage of work on agencies in the area. You just want to pick and choose your agency carefully, so it’s the one that supplies the kind of work you actually want.

In other words, you can be fussy, pick and choose to your heart’s content.

I work for SMS agency based in Aylesford which is an outlet for the more national supplier of drivers known as Mainstream.

Mainstream tend to ponce me about when they sort the shifts out (mainly at supermarkets) but SMS giving me the general haulage work have been really good in terms of agency expectations these past 3 years…

I’m sure there’s a reputable agency in your area with access to exactly the kind of work you want.

In terms of a gamble “giving up full time” - Well, agencies up north seem to pay the same as agencies down here. Compare that to full time though - and northern full time jobs I hear pay a lot less…

It’s a no brainer I think - go for it!

Perhaps the rest of the community reading this, now that it is “Public” - might like to suggest some local trafford park serving agencies for rob here… :bulb:

Interesting my mate gave up full time set up as a company and works through an agency and haven’t looked back I hate my job and have given this route some thought but it unnervs me a little if immediately honest

Cheers, Winseer. Didn’t know I had PM’s disabled. Got a few days off now so will make some calls and do some research, I have a few agencies in mind I have been recommended. Just getting tired of not being able to find that balance between hours & pay in the full time world and like the idea of being able to earn good money in places without having to commit to the hours expected of the full timers. Defiantly food for thought as I don’t have kids to worry about at the moment.
