Just heard on the radio that the family of World famous author Roald Dahl have started an appeal for funds to restore the hut or shed he used to write his much loved books in.

As the books are still in print and the royalties are still coming in. I wonder if the fairly wealthy Dahl family considered putting their own hands in their own pockets to mend the thing themselves?

No wonder the rich are rich…

I need a new window for the garage where I started my not very World famous and not very spectacular Bike racing career.

Do you think Radio 4 would give me the same ammount of publicity and public profile if I started a fund to fix my garage?

(I suppose I might get a mention on Radio Lancashire if I kept the change…)

What’s the betting the money will get raised, even in this economic climate?

Apparently the charity or whatever they are haven’t asked for any money from they public or something. Seems like they were hinting at it though. The family are loaded so they should put the money in themselves. But then they might nit actualy be too bothered about the old shed.
Seems like a waste if money to me, even when it is moved you won’t be alowed in the bloody thing.
