Roadworks start on the A17 outside the Newark Golf Club next week and continue untill September 
The signs say “possible delays” i say absolute chaos.

Live in Sleaford and working at Stobarts Newark ATM, proving to be a real ball churner of a problem to me that one, couple of alternative routes but both add several miles to an already arduous journey
I was a mile behind a wide load on Friday, on that stretch, it was stop, go etc. All the way up to the Sleaford roundabout(Newark - Sleaford direction) I use it regularly and it will be a ballache of proportions, yet to be quantified…
The only roadwork that needs doing on the A17 is to start at Newark and dual it all the way to kings Lynn. And when they get to kings Lynn they may aswell carry on towards Norwich on the A47! Bloody hate driving through Lincolnshire and Norfolk despite the nice countryside.

I couldn’t agree more, 40 mph across there, no wonder there are so many accidents with suicidle car drivers overtaking at every opportunity
Also made me laugh, they have had since September until now to do the work but they decide to start now when its holiday season, every man and his dog will beo on there way to Skeg vegas at the weekends
Not to mention those going to Norfolk/Suffolk for their hols.
Id go one better than xfmatt, motorway from the A1 to past Kings Lynn.
That A17 with holiday makers, HGVs to / from East Anglian ports , Veggies from Spalding / Boston, tractors towing bus shelters between fields… AAAARRRRGGHHHH!!!
