Anybody know what the yellow and blue checkered things that look like little rockets you sometimes see at roadworks are?

Safety cameras
Markers to indicate there are overhead wires.
They are the very latest in Worker Asset Non-Kompliance Efficiency Reddress Systems.
Basically, if the system detects a road worker actually working, or using a digger for digging (instead of reversing it at 0.5kmh with 7 banksmen). The little rocket fires off a P45 for the Worker in question.

seems the most realistic answer to me.
Seen similar on building sites…
Mobile and remote CCTV units…
Tut tut, you have to ask that?? They mean ‘keep it lit’…
It’s so when your sat sitting, again in the roadwork’s you can wonder what does that different coloured cone mean.
It’s like that sign with the milkybar kid looking child on it that says “take care my dad works here” or something similar.
Hate to tell you kid but your dad don’t work there. Nobody works there.

These?
It’s a telescope. You drop 20p in the slot and get 2 minutes to search for workers.
You’d need a bloody sight longer than that round here.

I seen these in a country park just outside Glasgow, they have sensors around them with lights and speaker looking things on it, I think they are some sort of alarm, probably sprays that smart water on them with sticky fingers lol

Thanks for the replies.
Seen a lot of them recently and just wondered what they are.
