Actually, the subject of the ride comfort of the actros is quite interesting.
I have said in the past that I think one of the primary reasons it’s so shocking is the use of mono leaf springs on the front steer.
I had an mp3 before the present mp4 and it was ok for a truck without cab air bags.
My truck had the monoleaf springs changed for two leaf and, in my opinion that was a big improvement.
Also, all the cab mounting bushes have been changed recently and cab shockers.
It could be my imagination, but it seems to have improved the ride a lot.
I dont buy new because I like to buy outright, but if I did, cab air bags would be first of the option boxes to be ticked.
There are some seat adjustments on the mp4 that can help with the comfort
And I imagine could be overlooked easily.
One adjusts the firmness of the seat and the other allows the seat to move forward and back to counter the cab nodding.
They are both very small and are located at the front of the seat base.
Anyway, I like mine.
I don’t understand why cab air suspension is not standard on the UK type mp4 Actros.
