Hi all ,am going to Whitby sat 19th in car I’d like to hear from anyone on route between Ripon and Fylingdales.
Don’t care which way I go , either Sutton bank and Pickering or A19 Guisborough etc
I’m hoping all that snow coming in from the west will slow down
Ps setting off late morning
Thanks in advance Jim
Good luck if the white stuff comes down. My dad was at RAF Fylingdales in the 60’s & we lived in Whitby. The town was often totally cut-off for days on end when it snowed!
I live up here. We don’t have any problems in snow. From Ripon? Its Sutton Bank and the A170 to Pick
Main roads should be OK. Snow in morning and not a lot in the afternoon so after lunch would be best bet.

Thanks Lonewolf, I come from Pateley actually and we got a flurry at about 7 last night looked as if it was gonna come serious but stopped, got maybe an inch.
Sutton bank is the route we always use, Fylingdales will be the critical stretch don’t you think ?
Thanks for getting back to me , you too Conor
Jim

Ensconced in cottage now for a week of good food good beer and no wagons rock on
