I’ve yet to step in cyclist crap on the pavement, or see one ■■■■ their leg & urinate on my car/truck wheel. Never seen a cyclist nobbing other cyclists in the street but hey, you never know. Never been bitten by a cyclist or had one stand by a garden gate & go ballistic as I walk past. When I come in out of the rain I get a bath/shower so I don’t stink the house out. Never seen a cyclist licking his gonads, to be fair I have tried this one, then lick it’s owners face. And I quite like dogs, cats on the other hand!

nothing wrong with cats,i have one,apart from digging her claws in and biting me when she don’t want to be stroked anymore,i love my little mog,if anyone ever hurt her I would be the one going ballistic,i love dogs as well but too much responsibility,cats are independent, go where they like, when they like,plus the entertainment value when she tries to attack another cat through a closed French door,thats funny,giving it the big one with the hisses growling and so on

As a international trucker with 40 years experience and also a cyclist of many years i find most of the comments disguting . Just wondered how many of you have children that cycle around the streets, God forbid it should never happen but what would your feelings be to the driver who killed or maimed your child. No doubt you would give them a pat on the back for choosing a animal over your child. You are all supposed to be professional drivers , This is the reason we have a bad reputation because of your attitudes.

I don’t think anyone is seriously suggesting they would kill a child on purpose to avoid an animal. 99.9% of people will swerve to avoid any living thing that runs out in front of them. It’s instinct. In a situation like that you don’t have time to make consious,well thought out decisions. Calm down a bit

To be fair your opinion is welcome although taking the position of an easily offended cyclist (or ‘Kadunk’) who happens to drive a truck is a bit of a copout but none the less its yours and your welcome to it.
Now even if I was confronted by a choice between one of my own pets and a child on a bike I would obviously try and save the life of the child on the bike. However if the choice was between a lycra lout and one of my own pets then I’m afraid the lycra lout may not be so lucky. Blimey if I’m honest an animal wouldn’t even need to be present to put these buggers in danger. 
I’m sure in your 40 years trucking you have done a few things to damage the reputation of truckers, far more than a slightly tongue in cheek discussion thread that just maybe keeps kadunks at the front of everyones mind.
Oh and i’m a kadunk also…
