Cyclists don’t pay road tax,so they shouldn’t be on the road. You’re a moron, nobody pays road tax.
If you want to be pedantic, we pay a vehicle tax to use our motors on the road.
No Radar, he’s not being pedantic but you are

There are a lot of owners of motorised vehicles that don’t pay a ‘vehicle tax’ but are able to use those ‘motors on the road’.
There are also a lot of non motorised things, apart from cyclists, which don’t pay a ‘tax’ and can use the road, horses and pedestrians for example.
Who cares about the cyclist but the spokes can be hard on your wheels

They are still required to have it taxed.

Strange title I know but a few weeks ago I had a dog run out on me at the same time I was overtaking a cyclist- now instinctively I slammed the anchors on and lurched towards the cyclist on the left who i had just passed, luckily both where OK as I was passed the cyclist enough for him to react. I apologised (to the cyclist) and cracked on.But this got me thinking do I value a dogs life more than a cyclists or was this just an instinctive reaction for self preservation to avoid a collision.
Thinking about it in reverse I don’t believe I would have swerved to the left if a dog was there and a cyclist pulled out on me, just a random thought but does anyone one else on here value human life lower than that of an animal, to be fair your all cattle to me but thats another story.
roadkill, eat. dog, eat. cyclist, weigh the bike in for tat bonus.
as a side note, whenever i read or hear " self preservation" i allways start singing this is a …
Im one of those people who skips the parts of movies where a dog gets hurt. I could watch any kind of violent or horror film and it wont bother me but if an animal gets hurt I skip right past. So i’d flatten the cyclist without blinking
To Baggie: How do you know a cyclist doesn’t tax his car or other vehicle that is left on his drive when he takes his bike out??

Horses and pedestrians are required to pay ‘tax’ to use the road? Really?

I said there are a lot of non motorised things, including horses, who don’t pay a ‘tax’ to use the roads and you said they are still required to have it taxed.
Some things are required to pay a duty to use the roads, others can use the roads, without paying that duty but all are equally entitled to use them. The selfish and intolerant, of which there seems to be a fairly high proportion in the truck driving fraternity, believe their right trumps all others. It doesn’t. Including myself I have five things that are legally entitled to use the roads in this country, I pay a duty on two of those but if I’m using either of those it doesn’t give me greater rights than when any of the other three are on the road.

Tell ️■■■■■■ cyclist to leave bike on drive and use car or other vehicle [emoji1]
I have not been proved to be wrong yet on this forum.
I think it’s because I don’t have to wear one of those repulsive “High Visibilty Vests” why the hell would you highlight that you have a dire job.
Anyway who the hell is paying road tax?
Thought this was a forum for professional drivers? Do you really need me to start spoon feeding the basics to you?

I do
It’s like watching a school ground argument. The thick kids repeating made up facts their dad told them while the intelligent kids getting real facts from various news sources.
And no I’m not going to tell you who I think the thick kids are, but as a clue, if you feel you might need to ask, them you are one of them.
