Just bought one from Groupon (sp) HD for £26. An extra £14 for a big memory card and Roberts ya Mothers brother. Don’t have a link, sorry, but for £40 you can’t really complain.Unless it breaks
Yep, you’re dead right. If you absolutely want the best then buy Roadhawk, but if you’re dipping your toe in the water why not go cheap? If it does break I’ll remove the memory card and bin the camera, it’s only cost me two hours time and a half and I’ve invested the rest of the Roadhawk savings wisely on prostitutes, cocaine and Jack Daniels. Win win.
We have had them fitted in all our trucks, they record video and audio, if you have nothing to hide go for it…

If it’s your own and not a company issued one, if you have something to hide, who knows it’s there
Yes Mate ive got one they are spot on and when the ■■■■■■ in the car has cut you up and clipped your front end and tries to blame you, you just point up to you windscreen and SMILE your on canded camra .plus you insurance comes down.

On the verge of getting one of these, can you install the software on an Apple Mac?

Make sure you find out before shelling out because some of them are not Mac friendly.
Arr I know. I’ve got a PC at home but a mac air in the cab so I want to be able to view the footage on that.
Just noticed he plugs the SD card in to a mac book air but then says the software doesn’t work for mac near the end.

That’s interesting, I’ll keep that in mind in case mine goes ■■■■ up.
I got an eclipse supplied by insurance company with intelligent infra red for night time, it has to be sealed to the windscreen otherwise you would get glare I’m told.

They have Mac software now… it can be downloaded from the Roadhawk website. And yes, although it could be better, it works.
I was looking at this one y’day, seems a good quality picture for 30 quid!

I have the Roadhawk HD. I’m very happy with it. Night time footage is very good also.
You get what you pay for at the end of the day. No way was I going to pay peanuts for a camera that wouldn’t record a registration number.
Have a look on Youtube- Roadhawk HD.Any problems with GPS ?
Usually takes around 10 minutes or so to kick in first time it is switched on in the morning. Once it has warmed up it works perfectly for the rest of the day.
And good customer support from the company!
I’ve heard a little whisper that we might be getting forward facing cameras in all our trucks in the future so i might hold on to my beer tokens and monitor the situation for a few weeks, i don’t really fancy wasting £250 now do i.
I was having a mooch for that Aussie heavy duty yoke & found this link, looks like a beast.
The bloke who making this Guardtrak has spent alot of time getting it right. It will take some beating
Yeah, it looks up to the task but it is pricey, I appreciate you’re getting a good quality camera though, I doubt the ones for £30 odd will last.

He knows the market well from what has been hinted it won’t be as dear as a Roadhawk Its not yet finished should be on sale next month he hopes.
And if it’s made for ozzie conditions it’ll be good over there.

Looks good, pretty decent quality, but I think my next camera MUST HAVE GPS
