Hello all!
It was bloody cold this morning when I got up and that made me wonder about driving in winter and adverse conditions in general. I’ve noticed that this country Isn’t particularly good when it comes to snow and ice but how different is it in an HGV? Does it handle better because of the weight? less likely to skid etc. Is a normal driving driving day actually realistic or do you need to add a week to your journey? What’s a good speed to be achieving. Do you have to clear snow and ice off the roof of your cab and trailer? If so how the hell do you do that? What wind speed do you need to open your curtains if your empty? Are flash floods and fords a problem here? How do HGV’s cope with them?
Sorry for the bombardment of questions brains going at 100 miles a minute
