Rivits

Well got a hospital appointment today so hopefully I will get an idea today when the big return to work will be.

Sorry to hear your problems Rivets , bet roping and sheeting don’t help ?, even if you had no clutch the running round the trailer would take a toll . good lucky good buddy .

Cheers Jakey, well the consultant was impressed with my progress so I think we are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel

Be glad to get back as I am run off my feet limping around the house doing this & that lol

Glad to hear there impressed, are Craib s supporting you whilst your off ? , did you loose your tractor unit ?

Do you work with the plant hire company■■? ARRC run a accident/sickness scheme which pays a fair bit more than SSP but still a few quid down every week Jakey, Yes I am off that motor as so far I have been off for 6 weeks looking to go on to trunking when I start back for a bit at least. Im in the URTU union and they pay sickness benefit…a full £15 per week after the first two weeks and only up to 12 weeks, Big Deal eh■■?

Well well well, it appears I will be back to the grind soon!!!

I am from your part of the world { nearly } and are glad to hear you are on the mend , dare I suggest a bit of exercise may help you back to fitness . A pair of gutties and your shorts will do , one day you could run to the Newhouse roundabout and back home , and to really make the old ticker work you could do a run over the hill to Harthill , as a little treat you could call into the services and purchase a can of "IrnBru as a reward on the way home .

Cheers Owen, I am fair looking forward to getting back and earning a few quid, this week I have been painting my bedroom as the boredom has long set in lol, glad to hear you are well on the road to recovery too my friend

Well started back yesterday, Palletline Hub trunk run to Birmingham , double manned on nightshift. All went well I’m pleased to say plus made a few bob lol, its good to be back!!!

Good to hear you’re back at work, bet you loved the Hub ?
I get told off every time I go into that place, so far it’s been No Hard Hat, Sorting out my Straps without a ‘Teacher’ holding my hand, stay behind the barrier even when they are loading the other side, (I make 'em take the pallets back off if they are too high & I can’t get my straps over) & I got told off for opening my curtains on the zig zags just in front of the QC Bay (even though every body else does it !)
& the best yet- the operations manager pulled me for taking photos of my load last Friday, I told him that it was for ‘Education’ purposes/to show that a load can be strapped properly & I wasn’t taking pictures of his little world of Health & Safety Gone Mad.
POXY PLACE !

It was fairly ok last night Martin but we shall see how we get on tonight lol

Apparently, anything goes at night, I’ve never been up their on a night trunk, just collected during the day, when the over sensitive management are ‘Poncing’ around.

They probably don’t work nights, too late for their Bedtimes !

Feels like an Infant School during the day. I even put my hand up if I want to have a Pee !

Well thats me back 2 weeks, on night trunking and really quite enjoying it!!

Sounds like Tesco…
If your face fits then you’ll do well there but if it doesn’t they’ll stitch you up like a kipper…
