Riverside cafe

got a rocketing from the owner today me and another one or our drivers
were swapping a car from mine to his truck
apparently the cafe isnt allowed to have changeovers done on its land
also day parking (like a night out) isnt allowed

we was told to sling our hooks and not return or stop for brekky :frowning:
another driver was about to drop his trailer and couldnt
and some Dutch guy ended in the laybys down the road for his 9 off

so if your planning a changeover it aint going be done on cafe property
this wasnt an issue of asking for permission
it just aint allowed :frowning:

Is it that it isn`t allowed or is the owner a money grabbing tight wad who is frightened he might loose a fiver if somebody is having a kip or doing a quick swap.

the council wont allow it
didnt have a discussion
just ate humble pie and legged it

sorry i lied
we werent allowed to stay for humble pie

Unless there was a big sign how where you to know?

Couldn’t you get takeaway humble pie?

Do humble pie come with custard or cream?

Where is the Riverside Cafe? Trafford Park?

Is that the one at Colnbrook ( spelling )

Noooo it has to be gravy!

Parked there a couple of weeks, payed to park, didn,t have an early start next day but the old bird was out by 8.30 next morning telling me to be out of there by 9,charming.Typical south east england “hospitality”

Colnbrook

Hitch, thanks for unravelling the mystery. Now Google finds it, having a location. You live and learn, never knew there was a truckstop in that area.

The grub didn’t used to be too bad, the showers were crap, never overnighted there, the parking area was like a dust bowl last time i was there (several years ago) there did used to be another cafe further down the A4 toward the M4 at slough but parking hgv’s is a no no, unless you can park in the lay-bye on the A4 and walk to it so you would be between the 2 cafes
