sorry if this is in the wrong place ;
anyone know why there’s such a great disparity
in the price of riser recliner chairs
How big is the disparity?
they range between 400 & 1400
Make sure you’re not comparing apples to oranges, there’s a significant difference in the price between those operated with a single motor, and those operated by two independent motors, there’s a significant difference in functionality and versatility in positioning that goes along with that.
You’ll usually be paying £800+ for the dual motor variety
Plus the usual variations to do with quality of materials, build, premiums for brand etc. that you get with anything…
It’s the Italians to blame

What the ■■■■ is this??
The sort of thing the retail park sheds sell will probably last 5 years at most before it looks crap with weak carcasses faded colours and failing mechanicals, that’ll be the lower end depending on which sale they happen to have on the day in question.
The type they sell in the better furnishers (beware) will possibly last the rest of your life, no fake discounts, good quality never has come cheap.
Its a bit like cheap white goods, some people like (or dislike even) to replace their washing machine/dishwasher every couple of years or so when the cheapies expire, others prefer to pay more (a lot more) for items that last up to 20 years or more, over time they probably work out the same cost, it’s what suits you.
I’m in the latter group because i hate having to fit new appliances or buy new furniture, but finding genuine quality goods is getting harder and very expensive and the label (just as with cars) doesn’t always mean what it might have done even a few years ago.
