Hi guys just after bit advice for tomorrow whats the best route to go from ripley to manchester? I’ve had a look on google maps and most it looks like single carriageway either that or going m1-m62 but surely thats the long way round. its a 26t rigid and 11’6 ft just after others point of view 
Ripley, Derbyshire?
A38 to Derby, A516, A50 to Stoke, M6, A556
I would go A61 up to Chesterfield and then across that A619■■? I think that’s the right number anyway. Straight over to Chapel en le Frith and then A6 across to Stockport and pick up M60 for whichever part of Manchester you’re going to. Do that route at 44t in artic plenty of times. Bit hilly and windy in places but if I can do it i’m sure you can!
M1, A616 / 628…
Depending on time of day, all routes get busy.
at 116 i would be tempted for a610 a6,but any of the above routes are good.avoid woodhead(a628)at peak times coz youll que at the manchester end
