R.I.P TERRY WOGAN. MANY A DRIVERS MATE .
Very Sad News. I have only just heard about the death of Sir Terry Wogan. This man kept me company in the Cab whenever I was in the UK. A wonderful companion indeed. Thank you for your Humor and Wit. Gone but not forgotten.
R.I.P. Sir Terry Wogan.
For me it was when he used to do his pre handover chat with Jimmy Young at 09.20 each morning, great banter, then it was the Janet and John series. Top man, RIP Pope Terry.
He kept lots of us company for many years, R.I.P. Sir Terry.
Sad news , RIP Sir Terry, remember him as a kid with Wogens Winners, and in the cab, later in life, one of those remember where you were moments was " The Preston Joke" and the " Pearl necklace" he was as true legend…never forget crying with laughter with the Preston Joke
how did he get away with it.
I agree many times I cried with laughter at the Janet & John stories you could always tell a down to the board terry wouldn’t be able to carry on with the tale because he was laughing to much a good presenter rip sir terry kept you entertained every morning . Go you tube type in Janet & John they are on there and remember terry
I can only echo what many have said, he kept most of us company on the long hard miles. Wake up to Wogan…every morning. IIRC he took over the early slot o radio from the late great Ray Moore.
C’mon, have a laugh at this:- youtube.com/watch?v=JgwD6SR-CXs

It said on TV today that because Terry had been a newsreader he could see what was written a few lines ahead. He never rehearsed Janet and John so when he collapsed in hysterics it was because he could see what was coming! We will never see his like again!
Pete.
Dear old Tel…
Many a mile as others have said…and yes, Janet and John. Radio magic…
Thanks and R.I.P. Terry.
