RIP M6 Driver

Conor:
No other vehicle involved, ran off the road.

Master of his own demise. Find it hard to be sympathetic.

Ian,get a grip! the last time i looked we still lived in a free country with free speech!

I happen to agree with conor, too many idiots flying about in trucks who should’nt be driving a car never mind a 44t truck.

We should be thankful that an innocent member of the public wasn’t crushed underneath this truck.

Well, lets just hope that this poor fellas friends and family don’t read this unfeeling crap - I thought the Mods were supposed to be doing something about the trolls on this forum? :unamused: :unamused:

RIP,chap.

I rarely post on these RIP threads for the simple reason that sooner or later some dweeb invariably posts something obnoxious or speculates on the hows and whys of the accident. This in my mind is very disrespectful to the family of the deceased who may just be reading this. So please by all means offer condolences, but if you have nothing to constructive to offer then don’t. Simple really.

I don’t see any trolls, just people voicing their varying opinions. That’s how discussion forums work.

Sad indeed for a driver of that (or any) age to die, fault or no fault. Several have mentioned about possible medical problems. Maybe there’s a case for enhanced medicals EVERY YEAR (not every 5) after 40? That should get a fair few unfit drivers off the road.

A fella has died at the end of the day, whether its his own fault or not it’s not very nice is it.

I dont see any trolls on here, just people giving their opinions !

Do you want a forum full of leemings, where we all follow what the first poster says ■■?

It’s called free speech,if you dont like it go and live in north korea and see how you like it there.

Conor and ttx boy. What a pair of plebs. In the of chance that the friends or family of this driver see this thread, can they please note the sentiments of these two are very much the minority. Rip.:frowning:

+1 Pretty much my opinion, towards these types of threads.

DEFINE UNFIT! I’ve been out of the army for over 20 odd years, but I can still get in my " No. 2s " and run a BFT 8.5 mins! Doesn’t mean fat people are unfit! :grimacing:  :bulb:

As it was lying on its nearside…was he wearing a seatbelt? Or did he knock his head as he was thrown across the cab?

■■■■■■ IMHO

Conor and TTX boy

We all have a right to free speech as you have said , and you may have your own thoughts on what MAY HAVE HAPPENED … but sometimes it’s better to STFU unless you are aware of all the facts related to the man’s sad death . Shame on you . I hope this man’s family don’t see this but if they do I would like to pass my sympathies and stress not all truckers are as heartless as the minority of posters on , what is after all , an RIP thread and not a " inquiry into what happened " thread .

Shade…These things always turn into a blame game, especially on THIS site. The idiots don’t see the big picture and just seem to post ■■■■■■■■ because they can.

I have my own (private) thoughts about over 65’s driving but an 88-year old died a few hours later. Let’s have a go at him as well eh? :unamused:

Time and place.

TTX boy is TruckNet’s most accomplished accident investigator. :unamused:

With that in mind, I can’t understand why he still works at TTX for minimum wage.

I was aware of the devastation on the M74 and thought with the reactions of some so called brother in arms, it was not fit and proper to announce this one where 1 driver was killed, 2 HGV’s and a pickup pulling a caravan were involved. Over to our crash investigators to sort it out as the police had been going at it for 15 hours. This forum crash investigators have the ability to proportion blame and not even have to visit the crash site, so over to you boy’s.

RIP driver, thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends.
