RIP James (Seamus) Teahan

I am sad to announce that my dad James Teahan aka Seamus passed away on Sunday 20th April aged 65. He had had his own lorries and coaches over the years and only gave up driving due to ill health. When we lived in Hertfordshire when I was growing up, my dad had his coaches before he went back on the trucks , I remember him working for RD Chisholm of Wheathampstead and going out in the bonneted MAN that Dave Chisholm had. In 1987 we moved to Suffolk where my dad always had a truck on the asphalt. He ran out of Redlands out of Flixton, later Trowse before taking on a brand new truck with White Mountain Roadstone out of Foxhall Four Quarry Ipswich. Over this time various trucks were run, two or three Leyland Bisons, Volvo F6, and the last truck a Volvo FL7 F39MMX. After a spell of driving shuttle coaches to Spain for a family friend he started on international truck driving. Matthews International driving M333TJW (ex TJ Wyatts), Morrison freight, Bartrums, Virginia Transport who Switchlogic works for and not forgetting Romantiek BVBA. I am sure I have forgotten several smaller operators he worked for but after a lifetime in transport can everything be remembered.
If any of you met and remember my dad it would be a pleasure to hear from you.

Regards

Daz Teahan
