George remained involved with the business and attended the monthly Directors Board meetings up until the latter part of 2012.

A man who was involved in the business for over 66 years, he will be sadly missed.

RIP

:frowning:

He lived to a fine age. He was a really nice chap, I took him and his wife to Norway on holiday when I was a coach driver working for the Glider!

That’s a really nice thing to say Luke. R.I.P Mr Swain.

As in R swains and sons ?

That’s a unfortunate loss, sounds like a true gent through and through, and a stickler  never wanting to stop work

RIP. Im sure it will have an effect on the company.

R.I.P. to another of the old generation.

RIP

Condolence to his family a very sad loss to the industry

RIP George, a lovely man, I remember him laughing at me for cross tying every reel on my first load of newsprint on a flatbed, they only used one rope across the back reels in those days. :open_mouth:
