George Swain died peacefully with all his family at his side on Friday December 28th 2012 at 5.20pm at his home in North Halling Kent.
George who was 92 joined the family business after the Second World War in 1946 and ran it until 1980 when he handed over the day to day running of the business to his son, Bob.
George remained involved with the business and attended the monthly Directors Board meetings up until the latter part of 2012.
A man who was involved in the business for over 66 years, he will be sadly missed.
RIP George, a lovely man, I remember him laughing at me for cross tying every reel on my first load of newsprint on a flatbed, they only used one rope across the back reels in those days.
