No doubt we will have people saying it was some drunk EU driver. Or some steering wheel gaurd.

Unless■■? It was actually someone else close to your heart.

Driver of lorry which overturned on M5 dies - BBC News

No doubt we will have people saying it was some drunk EU driver. Or some steering wheel gaurd.

Let’s wait and see shall we

Did anybody see the one M6 s/bound around Stoke yesterday morning?
S/b closed, 2 trucks involved the white Scania cab was pushed in so much,.the drivers side door was at the front of the cab.
If the driver got out of there he was a lucky man

There was one last week on the A50 eastbound before the A6 Derby turn around teatime ,came down slip road going westbound and was a sea of blue lights, only saw one wagon but was told by a work mate later that another had run up behind it and cab was smashed up,not heard owt else about it though

Not named yet but local news says driver is local from Bristol
I know the spot well where the incident took place .
Very strange what happened with no other vehicle involved allegedly.
Regardless of how or why very sad .rip

Maybe, maybe not, we should leave it to the accident investigstion team.
Not making a comment on this particular accident as I ain’t got a clue what happened,.and whatever did happen the poor guy paid for it with his life…this crap job ain’t worth dying for.

As for your theory, and speaking in general terms :bulb: …, you see that every day, no respect for the type of vehicle they are driving, non professionalism regarding the type of load they are carrying, and foot hard down all the time driving their trucks as you would drive a car,.they know no different. :unamused: thick as pig ■■■■.
I’m confident that some of that type of ■■■■ will be reading this, if so sit up and take notice.

Possibly a front tyre blow out? They’ve been known to tip lorries over.

I agree about some drivers ( quite a lot actually )
Who don’t take road conditions / loads or other drivers into account .
Some just wanna get back to the yard and either get home ASAP or blurt out to
Other drivers what kept you I been back ages .
Had an artic behind me couple of weeks ago on the M1 flashing me then giving me the ■■■■■■■■■ sign as he went past me .
My crime going 50 mph in dark rainy conditions .
Then when I pulled in a trowel services he just looked at me shaking his head as I walked past his star ship enterprise .
Take me back to my football hooligan days ( not proud ) and I would of been up in that cab discussing his problem so to speak .
To old and can’t be arsed now . Just wanna do my job stress free and as safe as possible .
Happy trucker

I know exactly what you mean, so you should have just embarrassed him by approaching him in a friendly manner saying…‘Can I just explain mate why I was driving to the road conditions that was obviously ■■■■■■■ you off’’ (although in reality you want to pull him out of the cab)
It’s the sort of stuff they teach you as a doorman, can’t recall the phrase for it,.something like ‘Pre confrontation reasoning’, but if he’s the usual type of teararse clown behind a wheel of a truck, who is stressed out and psyched up, ‘No time, got to be first in queue type’’ :unamused: he would be more than likely beyond reasoning’’ ie a ■■■■ moron. :unamused:

Thing is you see these motors smashed to bits and they walk away and don’t learn from it, and quite often these are the sort that go out and do it all over again

But do they?
The noise and mayhem generated in a medium crash is bad enough to make you remember and learn from it.
It must have a serious effect on you to be involved in a near death experience in a truck.
I know of one guy who could not get back behind the wheel, I also know one who has completely learned lessons from one regarding his driving style, he tends to be over careful and less confident.
Best to avoid those situations in the first place by not driving like a complete prick in an artic, the problem is you always encounter that type every day to contend with, and dare I say it they seem more common than they once were.

There all to common now unfortunately !!
Do you remember the woman that had a bad habit of destroying scanias
I know a couple that have written motors off more than twice !!

I’m certainly not clsiming to be the world’s best driver with 5 years experience, but have noticed many who drive trucks like a [fb] are the same ones who also have flashy cars and drive them the same way.

God knows how they afford the insurance as they must have accidents-a-plenty unless they just leave carnage behind as everyone else gets out of their way.

Am getting sick of being overtaken on bends like M62 > M61 which really isn’t a 56mph bend, but if you dare drop to 50 someone is always flying down the outside within an inch of the mirrors. Now drop to 45 to give room to stop for the day one flies into the ditch.

Possibly a front tyre blow out? They’ve been known to tip lorries over.

They wouldn’t be looking for witnesses then as it would be pretty much clear what caused it. Or maybe the tyre blew on impact with hte barrier? Kind of hard to believe (if there’s a blown tyre at the scene at all that is)

That strikes that theory off then.
