RIP driver

Tragic news, hard or impossible to comprehend what all involved have, and are going through.

I will make a judgement… selfish fucjers, jumping in front of a train or truck. Do the decent thing and hang yourself, or take a bottle of pills…

Very sad that,i hope this doesnt trigger carlisle off again to go on self destruct…

That’s what I was thinking too. Probably wracked with guilt now that his actions have led to another man taking his life. Could put him on the edge again.

Seems wrong doesn’t it,the only one to come out of this "unscathed " as such is Carlise, the HGV driver had to jack in because he couldn’t get behind a wheel again and now this poor chap took him own life because of the effect it had on him,I won’t ■■■■■ foot around I hope Carlise feels suitably guilty for destroying 2 lives and leaving kids without a father, remember Carlise lost his job because of his own doing mainly drink driving that led to his attempt to take his life, now we are all suppose to feel sorry for him because he is “famous”,■■■■■■■■ to that there are plenty of victims in this,Carlise is not one of them!

Hes seems to be making full time job and living about telling the world about his problems nowadays aswell :unamused:

Often witnessing or being involved in an accident is far more traumatic than having to deal with an accident.
Deepest sympathy to Chris’s family.

While the whole incident is very sad it shows just how mentally fragile people are these days. People seem to need counselling if they see something they don’t like on TV let alone if it happened in front of them.

Yeah, I mean…what would be weird about seeing someone implode right?

Who’s to say he imploded? He didn’t go under the waggon, just bounced off it.
I personally think chris Kilbride must have been of fragile mind before all this happened and this just tipped him over the edge.

Implode! The guys ended up with a couple of scars on his head, hardly turned him inside out did it.
He turned up at the scene of what was in essence a road accident, he helped out so you cannot fault him for that. The fact that he couldn’t live with what he saw says a lot to me about his mental strength. People do it for a job every day without having meltdowns, wether in the emergency services or the forces. We live a much softer life than we used to, we aren’t as mentally tough as we used to be & this type of thing confirms it.

+1,very well said

there are times over the years that I have been depressed, then I stop feeling sorry for myself because there are people out there that are a lot worse off than me,i have a roof over my head and regular money coming in,loads of people don’t,i count myself lucky, and I don’t feel sorry for Carlisle at all,rip chris kilbride

Once a driver, always a driver. RIP Chris.

I am not normally one to comment on sensitive subjects as I normally end up taking the ■■■■■ However on this occasion I feel the need to express sincere frustration with this situation.
As rightly pointed out by most on here, Mr Carlisle has the LUXURY of choices, decision and support.

Through his selfish actions, we have a truck driver who has nightmares and has hung up his keys. Now we have another driver who was so traumatised, he has left his young family to cope without him.

A chain reaction of MANY ruined lives as a result of one selfish man. I would have more respect for Mr Carlisle if he simply went away from the limelight. All of a sudden he seems a lot better.

Unlike the trail of destruction in his wake. I have great sympathy for ANYONE unfortunate enough to be battling depression/mental illness. But don’t pass it on to others. If you want out, don’t ruin others while you do it.

When someone is in that state of mind where they are at the end of their rope, they will not be thinking about whats going to happen to the poor sod who happens to be the one chosen to hit them or run them over. They are in a very dark place where the only way out is to end it all, this will consume them.

Also, I don’t believe we are becoming “softer” in todays age. I see that many of the problems around day are the same ones that have been around for years, its just now we are understanding them better and are able to get people the help they need!
