Rigid and 7.5 tonner

I was in a Merc Actros 2630 rigid yesterday, and it aint no REAL actros lol.

Its the same cab as an Antos, but with a higher roof and a bunk behind the seats.

As said by others, easy to nip around in but willy felt much smaller.

That is so true, and you get the driver of a rigid that can see about 12 artics in a queue to tip, but he does the sob story routine, and gets to the front of the queue with those immortal words of " I have only got one pallet to come off, and the wife has booked a table and will kill me if I don’t make it, and its the budgies funeral today ."
Tough ■■■ ■■■,join the frigging queue and wait your turn.

Not just rigid drivers who do this. I usually get to skip the queues at my deliveries and I drive an artic. There’s 2 reasons for this:

  1. I probably know the guys on the back door and get on great with them meaning I get prefferential treatment.[emoji6]
  2. They know if I arrive on time, they’ve got 15mins to unload me or they’re not getting their pallet cos my gaffer will just tell me to pull out.[emoji3]
