Should cops target black people for ID checks?
A German court ruled this week that police are allowed to use skin colour as a criteria to for spot-checks when looking for people breaking immigration laws.
The ruling emerged from the case of a young black German man who said he was so sick of repeatedly being asked for his ID in his own country that he refused to do so without being given a good reason.
The Koblenz court ruled that the police were justified in using a person’s appearance, including skin colour, to decide whether to check their ID, provoking outrage from the man and his lawyer. One human rights lawyer said the judge was not fit for office.
The young man on the train, who asked not to be named, said he had been stopped and asked for his ID many times — and that the humiliation of this happening repeatedly in his own country had made him furious.
Although it might seem logical for police carrying out spot-checks to select people on the basis of their appearance, doing so is likely to alienate those Germans whose skin is not white.
Let’s not have any policemen doing their job in case it offends somebody. As long as an officer conducts himself properly what’s the problem?
WHen I was a baker the police often stopped me asking why I was on the road at 03.00am.I gave my perfectly reasonable explanation and was on my merry way.If black people dont like it they can stop being criminals.
Thinking back a few years, I had a job moving mobile phones from London to various European destinations and to make the job safer the customer would insist that we ran vehicles in convoys of about 6 to 12 vans at a time, one job I did to Denmark only required two vans but the other van was driven by an asian guy (can’t say ■■■■ on here can I?) and his mate also err an asian guy. The vans had to be double manned. In all the years I have done European I have never been stopped going out of the country, these blokes were, checked by customs going out in Dover, they were then checked by the French police when we went through Calais port, they got pulled just past Adinkerke by the Belgians and stopped twice on the autobahn by German police, they were searched at Puttgarden and then searched again by Danish police at Solrod. We tipped at Copenhagen and the return journey was just as bad, altogether they were stopped and checked 13 times on that trip, I wasn’t even stopped or checked once, we were driving identical vehicles, both plain white and the police had to get inbetween him and me to stop them, makes you wonder doesn’t it?
It might have escaped your notice but over the last few years there have been several attempts by Asians to kill people with bombs in vehicles in Europe. Some of those were very successful.

Errr no, it has not escaped my notice at all, the trip described above was in 2002 though, and I fully understand why they were stopped, always a pretense of just a spot check.

What about immigrant?
No my point was just observational, the article I originally posted came from a German newspaper who reported that the courts have said basically that it’s okay for Police to target people simply because of skin colour and no other reason.

Logically a Brit wouldnt be a Immigrant in Britain.So who would ya check? Most White are from Europa,other from North America and Australia and NZ who gets strikt checked by Departure.
Si its just South America,Africa and asia left you have to expect illegal Immigrants coming from,and that People have colored Skin.
Dont think we can count that as Rasism.
