[=trinny mode on] not the most ideal things to wear while driving[/trinny mode off]
Not the best things to wear while driving.
But fantasitic if you’re a steel rigger
I wear them all the time to work, never found a problem driving in them.
Paul
got a pair in the side locker…and wear them when i`m washing the tank out, same as overalls…then dress like a proper trucker…for driving…
just keeps your clothes clean and tidy for the dirty work that lies ahead…
Be careful if you go on a Tarmac site wearing them, they banned them 18months ago, no proper ankle support. We’ve just had an e-mail this week stating that the dispatchers are to enforce this religiously, i.e. if you have them on you get no load and if you argue you get banned off site.
ao if you’re already on site when they spot them you have to take them off and walk round in your socks?

But then you wouldn’t have steel toecaps (unless you have some very special socks!)
joke.

we had this from our firm to and its a load of bull.
at our place they issue us with wellies for when working in muddy conditions etc, these wellies have no ankle support either. i wear riggers and find they are comfy for driving in, they are easy to take on/off in the cab too.
ive been to many a tarmac site and no one has mentioned them.
