RHA love a lorry campaign

Or maybe after you have paid your full membership to them & something happens to you they don’t want to know but they will happy take your money to pay for this sort of thing

Love a lorry : wot poop

Trucks are a function of big business , not human survival .

Ok we have become over reliant on trucks , and would cause a shock to system if we went without …

But the way some of you talk its amazing man evolved from the caves without them

What might be good is to make a really boring program about a haulage company? They could try to add a bit of interest by pointing out that the driver could be delayed in reaching one of his/her delivery points if traffic happened to be unusually heavy on the bypass. If that didn’t do it how about wittering on about how the lorries are named after the drivers wives or children or some such drivel?

If there is anything more sad than someone who loves his car, then it must be the prize one ■■■ who loves his companies truck. If I never seen another truck it would nae bother me. awful hideous things.

didn’t the French do this some time ago with
Les routiers sont sympa

Perhaps if alot of drivers started smartening up a bit instead of their arse hanging out of a pair of jogging bottoms and rigger boots,oh and get rid of the greasy hi viz. This would be a start!

Maybe if more employers supplied uniforms, decent PPE as well as a decent wage that wouldn’t be so much of an issue.

As to ‘love a lorry’ are they serious? Maybe pointing out AGAIN that everything anyone buys has been transported by lorry and without them they be naked, cold and hungry.

How about a billboard campaign with something like, oooh lets see, ‘If you bought it, a lorry brought it’, I’m sure there are others that could be recycled

Although that wouldn’t cost enough and require loads of meetings in expensive venues for overpaid marketing executives to milk their ‘expenses’ so a bit of a non-starter really :imp:

when I was driving I bought my own stuff, yes I could get it free but out of personal pride (as an agency driver too) I bought polo shirts, work trousers and the likes as it reflects on me as a person.
irrespective of the wage or whats ‘owed’ to you primark sell polo shirts for about £4 so £20 to look clean and presentable to a prospective employer out of £400 as an average week isn’t a lot to spend.

but its far easier to be a scruffy looking bag of ■■■■ and blame others.

so how did the phuc a truck day go, did anyone notice, did peace and love break out on the M25, were tipper drivers showered with rose petals?

Think this calls for some serious investigative reporting by the Daily Star

Well… National Love a Lorry Week was a rip roaring success wasn’t it?

Anybody even notice it come & go?

I was in Exeter the other day and in the shopping precinct they had a artic, tv screens and I thought I’d be nosy (not admiting to being a driver) I hit chatting to the bloke there who was showing the dangers of cyclists and blind spots ect, they had some bikes down the side and I think they were doing a good job

dcgpx:
I’d rather they launch a campaign for wage parity! I couldn’t care less who love my truck, I’d love a larger wage myself!!

I’m the same and have settled on my ‘uniform’ of 5 sets of smart turtleneck tops (in a rather fetching 5thwheel grease grey ) black chinos and safety shoes, ‘exec’ hivis has pockets for gloves/torch/rag & pen (saves the expense of a Liddle carrier bag  ) Its a personal pride thing and reflects your attitude to the job. The only thing I seem to go through with any frequency are the hi-viz vests and shoes
