I wonder where they parked your lorry, or more to the point where they park theirs.
well lets hope they do something, just google earthed that address and from the looks of the place it would be hard to get a lowloader and units in there

On Wednesday 13th July 2011 a firm called Northern Connections picked up my 1956 Albion lorry just outside Bodmin, Cornwall to deliver to me at Cambridge. Since then my lorry has vanished into thin air and despite repeated e-mails and phone calls I am met with a resounding silence.
The director of Northern Connections, a Mr Tony Garland, personally collected the vehicle to load it onto one of his lorries but I suspect he drove it himself some considerable distance and has most likely damaged the engine and/or the gearbox in his ignorance of the limitations of such an old vehicle.
If any of you truckers out there saw a chassis/cab four wheeler on the A30, A38 or M5 on the 13th, 14th or knows of the whereabouts of my Albion could they give me a bell on 07884462140 or e-mail me at mike@transportartist.co.uk as I want my pride and joy back!
The lorry has a green cab, red chassis and wheels is about 20ft long and is very distinctive, please can anyone help?If your information leads me to recovering my Albion I am offering a reward, not money I’m afraid because I don’t have much of that but an original painting of your favourite truck is all I can offer.

You are a ■■■■. I really hope your next bowel movement is a Porcupine and you then suffer a prolapsed colon (Google Image it).
I trust this clarifies matters.
Put some more details up?
Where was the place the vehicle was meant to be picked up from?
Was it getting work done? newly purchased etc etc ?
The people who had the vehicle must have greeted the thief’s who stole it. What did they look like? What vehicle were they driving, colour etc etc ?
Website for the transport company ?
Did you pay for delivery up front?
Perhaps, the next time ady1 wants some information and is relying on the goodwill of the members on here to freely give it, we should all post some inane and downright rude ■■■■■■■■ for replies so he knows exactly how it feels.
Coffee, that made me wince and it wasn’t aimed at me! Made me chuckle though…I hope you get your wish!
Mike
I sincerely hope you get your truck back. Despite what certain ‘members’ say, there will always be a place for historic vehicles and their owners. Keep us posted please

What a prize prick you really are you ■■■■■■ idiot.
Will keep a look out mike, good luck finding it mate.
Hopefully all that has happened is that your truck is on the back of a low loader that is not moving owing to no money for driver/ fuel.
Again hopefully, you will hear something soon if company has gone bust and liquidators are involved.
As for it going to scrap, I doubt that anyone would be that daft, its not worth much as scrap value and if not scrapped should be easy to trace.
(possibly ADY1 might be that daft!)
Is it possible to find out where the operating base for the company is?
edited to add
fantastic paintings on your website!!

I presume somebody was waiting to meet Mr Garland when he arrived at Bodmin, if it was loaded onto a low loader then I am a little puzzled as to why you think it may have suffered mechanical failure after having been driven for some considerable distance. Why would he drive it any distance at all, other than on to the low loader?
Given that it has been missing for nine days now I am also puzzled as to why you think you would have to wait another three days before reporting it as stolen.
To be perfectly frank, something does not add up here.

Yes. More details needed. He’s quoted piston broke above but not actually said anything in reply to it so it’s all rather confusing.
Hope you get it back but like harry has said, something is not right here.

The lorry was driven to a pre-arranged layby on the A30 by the previous owner because it had been stored on a farm which was very difficult to access with a modern lorry. Mr Garland said that his driver must have missed that layby and said he would drive it to where the lowloader was. Unfortuneately because he had no cause to disbelieve him he let him take it and having to get back to work already being late because Garland was late turning up. As Ive said I suspect that Garland had somehow been let down by his driver and elected to try to drive a 50 year old vehicle at motorway speeds or that his intent was indeed to steal my lorry.
I tried to report it stolen Saturday last but was told by the police that, as I’ve already said, that intent had to be proved after writing to the company with recorded delivery a letter which asked about my lorry. This I have done and finally they, the police, have reported it as a crime so hopefully they might have more success than I in finding and hopefully recovering it.

That rings alarm bells to me.

I’d get that idea of your head right now. Just check out Rob’s (shuttlespanker) thread about his stolen DAF. Pigs aren’t interested at all unless either a) there’s some money in it for them by way of a fine or b) it’s looking after one of their own. As this case is neither then the help you will get from them is 0.

I have a Shiply account Rob, I have searched by postcode, address, name and town. Not a mention, apart from the london gazette
just wondering how did this garland guy get to the lay by ? did the previous owner ask for some sort of i.d before leaving the vehicle ?
business credit check puts this guy at a rating of 1 very high risk

I am more baffled than ever.
The previous owner drove it to a lay-by, the low loader wasn’t at the lay-by but Mr Garland was? How did he get to this lay by? He must have driven there in a vehicle, what happened to this vehicle?
What kind of farm is inaccessible to a modern lorry? All farms are accessible by modern lorries, that is how the fertilisers arrive and the produce leaves!
We on TruckNet will always try to help anybody in distress, but in this case I think we will need more information. What is the registration number of the Albion?

UHW 343, and not all farms are accessible to low-loaders which can bottom because of their limited ground clearance.
If you don’t want to help Harry that’s fine with me but thanks for your interest anyway, but at least the police now are treating it as a crime and I might be getting somewhere.

Police report typed by George Carter Flying Squad.
Previous owner went by the name of O Shea, and the Albion was stored on a farm where a lot of caravan utilising etc etc were also residing, who after taking the money from the OP to buy the thing then flogged it to someone by the name of O Garrety who also resided at said farm aka Mr Garland who’s only last known contact adress was a firm registered at companies house somewhere up North.
Think we’ll give this one a miss guv because it’s outside of our juristiction and remit.
