Hope they caught up with the driver. (though I couldn’t see the number plate)
A securicor van reversed into a 3 week old bike of mine 30 years ago, outside Coburn & Hughes in Luton. One of the staff saw it happen, the A’hole driver just drove off & when I went to their office they just denied it !
Always fancied ‘Doing’ one of their vans for a few years after that, but 5-10 years in Pokey for the cost of a new front mudguard on a CX500 just wasn’t worth it ! Lol.

What a [zb]
3663 - says it all. Another muppet company that only uses drivers that can’t get a job anywhere else because they’re ■■■■. He could see the bike clear as day in both his o/s and n/s mirrors at numerous points throughout those manoeuvres.
BIG AW:

Yeh ,the cx500 was always ridiculed , this one is 32 years old, still gets used daily and takes me to Europe 2-3 times a year, the old crate has never let me down and has 199,700 on the clock, not many bikes clock that mileage!
That looks like a Tidy Bike for its age & mileage.
I brought mine brand new for Despatch Riding, it was a popular bike for just that. Being shaft drive it saved wearing out chains & sprockets & it was water cooled so useful around London. Mine only lasted about 3 months until I got knocked off in Fleet Street, breaking my leg in the process. Then on the same evening unbeknown to me (co’s I was high on Morphine) one of my mates wrote it off Big Time along with both his legs doing about a ton in Pointers Rd, Luton when he was sent down to London to fetch it home.
Most of my bike mates have had one over the years & swear by them, but for me they will always be the ‘plastic maggot’.
Used values seem to have shot up since someone started converting them into cafe racers.
Should be quite easy to identify that muppet?
As has been said above, there is no way he can say he wasn’t aware of the bike, he would’ve clocked it as he drove past the street before he even thought about selecting reverse!!!
A-Hole!
On the plus side there’s more space for everyone else to turn around now I think I’d have left the bike further down the street near the other one as it does seem a bit close to the bell mouth.

My first job after passing was with 3663, all of the wagons had reversing cameras. I reckon he had one as he first got quite close to the bike then shunted forward
He would of known it was there any commen sense says you driven past wjere your reversing into and would of seen the bank so why noy just run over the curb to start with then wouldnt need to mess about with shunts plus stopped first time to put shunt in to go around it do was aware of it
