Just watched this fridays episode of supertruckers and the commentator was saying that the reversing of an artic is the same as reversing a caravan . As a caravan owner I thought that until I started driving artics and the principle of how you turn the steering wheel is the same but after that they are different beasts with completely different pivot points . Of the 2 the artic is probably easier to reverse .

I believe this has something to do with the caravan axle being in the middle and trailer wheels being at the back ,can anyone confirm/rfute this ■■

The shorter the trailer the faster it reacts to the “push” from the tractor.The shorter the tractor/unit radius forms the quicker the angle develops.
