Going past stationary traffic to merge in later is OK.
The traffic marshall is wrong.
Swopping lanes and undertaking is wrong.
Keeping merging traffic from joining, (now its the traffic marshal) is wrong. Wouldnt our hero have been upset if someone had tailgated in order to keep him out?

years back at the edge of my village lived a little Hitler curator at local museum who loved to step out in the road at any vehicle entering over the 30 limit flagging down speeders. One time i was entering in a hurry doing 50 and suddenly hes stepping out but iv no intention of braking how i missed him lord only knows he was used to folk doing 40 but at 50 was a tad slow in stepping back onto the verge
