Just went for my first agency interview – a nightmare! Anyone concerned with depleting the rainforests with useless pieces of paper tests, blame them 
. Took half an hour and then they told me they had to send a form called a CRB to Head Office and it would be two weeks before I can work. Two weeks to process paperwork? 
What happened to ‘have you got a clean licence’ and ‘when can you start?’ I’m beginning to think this isn’t going to be as easy as just having a licence and working. I think I’ll start applying for full time work and see if that cuts out the nonsense. 
Don’t limit yourself to one agency bud, register with three or four.

Yep, sound advice, it’s all changed from ten years ago. In the meantime I just applied for Culina on nights, full time. I told the agency that the first employer to say start tomorrow and that’s the one I’ll take.
