Returning to Bulkers, Certificate Needed?

i was thinking about doing a bit of tipper work in a few weeks but another driver reckoned i needed a certificate now to drive it. supposedly came in last year.

any advice on this would be appreciated.

Hi bbez, Sorry I can’t offer any specific advice, because that’s a new one on me too. :open_mouth:

Thinking about it though, the need for certification might arise from the cargo you carry, or the type of sites that you visit, so it might be true.

I have to ask, because there wasn’t a clue in your question, but would you be carrying fertiliser by any chance…?

He might be talking about the “EPIC” card that some quarries want now, but it’ll depend on what work you’re doing. I do a lot of grain work on the bulkers and I’ve never come across the need for an EPIC card or any other specific certificate.

Nice one guys, i’ll look into it, i still have my ADR from 3 years ago [when i did do fert.] and i’d be doing general bulk haulage [coal, grain, feed etc], nothing hazardous.
