I’ll be there with wingnut in the three white volvos 2f10’s and an fl10

It makes me feel old when I think that the last truck I drove, an F reg Foden, is possibly now eligeable for classic shows! I suppose even the P reg one I had new could almost be classed as ‘classic’ though to me it still seems a recent truck?

Pete.

See you on Sunday Mike

Absolutely fabulous weekend at Gaydon Retro Show!

Here are a couple of pics to get the ball rolling: Nick Bull’s impressive Scania T143, and a very tidy Volvo with a period spread-axle tilt trailer. Robert

I didn’t go in the end, had a couple of jobs to do around the house and I woke up just not really bothered. I’ve only done one show this year out of four I normally attend. Looking forward to seeing the pics though.

I think I saw quite a few of the exhibits making their way home today on my way down to Stratford. For old motors, I do have to say that the vast majority of them were blowing all of today’s motors into the weeds. Nearly all in lane 2, and one Atki I saw near Stafford Services looked like it should have had a pass for lane 3, sweet as a nut and flying.

Hi Robert,

is that impressive 143 from Nick Bull still in middle east Service?

Regards
Joerg

You missed a ■■■■ good show Nathan. Best Retro Show I’ve been to, and I been to most of them.
Cheers Dave.

Potentially, yes! He’s only just done this one up but Nick says he hasn’t ruled that option out. Robert

I like her australian style!
Looking forward to see some pics of her cruising the Jordan desert!

Regards from Germany,
Joerg

I prefer it to the classic one in June Dave, haven’t done that one for 2 years now. I’ve struggled to find the time recently and just didn’t have the enthusiasm for it on the day.
I must be getting old, I used to do Truckfest  and several classics and steam rallies but haven’t got the interest that I used to.

Had a good day Saturday, we were quite lucky with the weather too, a few showers but much better than I thought it was going to be  . Bank account took a thumping, here is my haul for the day  , the ‘Dark-Side’ said I’d best get them all (& the models, couple more added to the collection ), & that’s got my Xmas presents sorted early, fine by me :sunglasses:  . Regards Chris

We (me’n’er) went Sunday and enjoyed it, many thanks to all who put the hard work in.

What’s with the :unamused: then? I had more important stuff to do, no doubt the same lorries will be there next year.

I went yesterday (Sunday) it turned out to be a really good day. This was the first time that I’ve ever bothered to go to one of these things. I went initially because an old friend messaged me he was going. Well I met loads of old and new friends and wound up having a Super day out. Thank you to Kenny Ward and his Wife Susan, David Miller, Freddie (Oven Ready  ) and his Wife, Dave Bowers, Ashley Coghill, Jamie (M&C), Roland Ward, Andy Maclean, Robert Hackford, Micky Dunstan, and anybody else that I bumped into as well it have not mentioned. It was well worth the time and effort, a day well spent.
