hi all,
the comments from all the trucknet members speak volumes of the retro’s success.lee and the rest of the steelboys are and should be very proud.i can’t remember a new show creating such a buzz.
rowland you hit the nail on the head with your comments about our mates that stayed and helped you.as dai echo said, they knew you would do the same for them.you only get what you give.
neil happy birthday mate, with men like you,the steelboys will go from strength to strength.
regards andrew.

A big thankyou once again to all involved in putting on the show, a truly outstanding job.

Also thanks to everyone who took their truck along to display, a great selection of trucks that showed the diversity of the current preserved truck scene, with trucks from so many marques and eras in conditions from ‘work in progress’ to still working full time to full on show trucks there really must have been something for everyone there.

A special thanks to those that joined the run with me from South Wales.
Neil.

Heres some pictures from along the way…

More from Evesham.

Rward arriving Saturday evening.

Some from the show.

If the Scammell doesn’t quite give away that this isn’t Arizona, the Atki behind certainly would.

Near the end of the run, into the early hours of Monday, just dropped Rwards artic off safe for the night before heading home and trying not to wake the neighbours.
Neil.

HI,

Here are some more great shots on Flickr.

Well done again boys and happy birthday Neil.

Cheers

What a fantastic show! :sunglasses:
I am an idiot of the highest order, for thinking it was this coming weekend

Just off to give myself a good beating, for missing the event of the year :frowning:

Hopefully next year, I shall remember the right day…

Happy Birthday mechanic 77!!!

hi guys, and wat a super thread. the show looks like it was a real success, some excellent photos and comments. just wondered if anyone had spotted the white f12 L29 COM is F Knowles old volvo? i liked it in its old livery but looking at the photos it looks just as eye catching now!! well done everyone connected to the show, and hope to catch you all next year, cheers, joe

is this adrian grays old motor

thats the one that i meant was the old f knowles motor. used to have a plate on the bull bar saying dodgy, and said on the back dodgys toy, pure and simple!!

will this event be happening next year? if so i,ll probably bring my half restored 143 for a run out, couldnt make it this year due to registering issues for southern irish trucks in the uk.

I would have loved to have made it to this years show, and hopefully next years will prove to be even more of a success but in my other life I’m a (junior) rugby coach and this close to the start of the new season I just couldn’t take a Sunday off. Next year though, my F16 should be finished and I will definately make the time to enter and make that row of ‘F’ series Volvo’s even longer :sunglasses:

Great pictures tho, & big thanks to all the members who have taken the time to post them on here, roll on next year:)

Ross.
