Look odd, your in the wrong job mate, you’re coming across as a tree hugging hippie type. Between this and the whites thread you are making yourself look a little silly

For the last few months I have been driving regularly over the A 66 and have been watching the progress if the roadworks to strengthen the banking just before the old army camp.
This road as been a big part of my driving career and I would probably say it’s one of my favourite driving roads.
Watching the progress if the roadworks and then finished repair got me to thinking, isn’t it about time we have the old girl a break and let her retire.
She has been a faithfully servant for as long as I can remember and a long time before that. I believe this road should be given national heritage status or at least some kind of preservation order to protect her from what, if nothing is done about it could be a painful experience
What I propose is, that if you can take an alternative route please take it. Such has the m62 and A1 or straight down the A1. If coming from Scotland.
I know it’s a big ask, but if the road is going to survive especially as their are no plans for upgrading the road untill at least 2016.
We owe it to not just the road, but also all the residents that live along the route.

As i understand it then you will have already stopped using this route then? How will you know if your scheme will be successful?
