Rest or POA ??

A mate of mine got caught up in the road closure on the M6 the other night at J28 while the police dealt with someone threatening to jump off a bridge… so he was stationary for quite a while…
He then asks " should I have put my tacho on break or POA ? "
DOH !!

break. no one uses poa anyway, there’s no point.
it just keeps the pen pushers at large companies in a meaningless job.

But awaits posts from various ill-informed people saying its illegal to have break on motor way , sitting in drivers seat . blah blah :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

You could type in ‘jumper timings’ into your favourite search engine. This would give you a rough idea of the length of delay you were looking at and then POA would be your choice.

Perfectly legal to do that for EU regs

It would not be legal under UK domestic regs
