I need to get 2 trucks to an address in Crich, tallest one is running at 13’10’'.
The client has just informed me he is surrounded by low bridges! Having looked at the map I am thinking pretty much the only way in is up the A6, turning right onto the B5035 and coming in from this direction.
Can anyone with local knowledge give me any ideas or alternatives?
shuttlespanker:
You are correct, that is the only way in with a vehicle over 13’ 6"
Hiya yes i’ll second that.their.s a low bridge between Ripley and Ambergate so youll have to go from
the Derby ring road…for all them who say go over Heanor to be different. thats a no no, yes i’ve been
that way but its alot slower.sorry i don,t live in Crich i live in north wales i just worked over that way
years ago

You can’t miss the turn, you go past a large layby with a tea bar in it, the main road goes round to the left and over a bridge, there is a pub directly in front of you, when you get to the left hand bend, turn right
Hiya i,ve just phoned a company in Ambergate, they told me the bridge has been taken
down on the A610. they shoud know as they have lorries and diggers so would know about bridges.
