Renewing Class 1 licence

I have just had my medical, being over 45. Passed that and have the D2 & D4 forms filled in and signed by myself & the Doctor. Obviously it needs to go to DVLA Swansea for them to put appropriate lettering grade, (C+E back) onto my Licence. I have so far not done any DCPC as I wanted to make sure I passed the medical and didnt want to pay for something before medical failing the medical & it becoming useless if I failed medical plus the cost. But thats bye the bye now. So, one final hurdle is therefore to get my 35 hours of online CPC completed.

So, my question is, do I have to send off the CPC certificates to DVLA (along with D4 & D2) on completion of modules or is it just a hard copy certificate(s) that along with licence (when returned fron DVLA) that you show potential employer or Agency to prove that you have both & are ‘qualified’ to drive LGV’s once again …?

CPC is done electronically by the training provider - you send nothing

You can check your driver cpc status online

As Rog says the DCPC trainer will register your course attendance.

The Driving Licence, and DCPC card, are two separate things, although both do go through Swansea.

You can send off now for Licence renewal, and take DCPC course later. The licence may arrive before you get your DCPC, but you can`t work until you have both.

Ed to add.
Tell us where you are: some will recommend local providers, slag off local providers, recommend or slag off on-line providers, moan about the need for it etc etc…but there will be some useful stuff in there.
