Renault Premium Night Heater

Can any one please throw some light on night heater operation in a 2008 Renault Premium
The drivers says nothing is happening apart from light on dash coming on all fuses have been checked and all appears fine
Does it need to be set from the computer ■■? The operators manuals says it does not need too
Many thanks in advance

Isn’t it on the panel adjacent to the handbrake?

Push button with a squiggly line on, and a rotary dial for temp next to it. Like most heaters it will take a few minutes to warm up.

Taken from a Renault Premium truck test:

The heater itself is very effective and more than adequate at its minimum setting.

It is adjusted by the simple turning of a numbered wheel in the panel. There are two buttons for the heater, one of which has a light permanently on — so you can find the controls in the dark.

By pressing the button next to this you turn the heater on, but unless you can hear the heater start there is nothing to tell you it is operational — a minor point that had this tester thinking at 5.30am when the cab required a little warming.

Yes we tried all number settings one to five switch does light up but nothing else happens regardless of time
wondered about relays etc
is it the same system as FH.FM
Thank you for your prompt reply

Have you checked the feeder pipes from the fuel tank? If somebody has stood on the fuel tank, the pipes may have been trampled on and broken?

Have you checked air intake is not blocked ? Lift the bunk up … check nothing blocking the intake … then try turning heater on … see if you can hear it starting ?
Had this once on another truck … some muppet had thrown a garage plastic seat cover under the bunk :unamused: … and it had got sucked over the intake :exclamation:

Many thanks to you all for your replies
Problem sorted we did not realise there is another fuse
located by the night heater itself
It is now functioning but I have to say its quite noisey
Bearing maybe■■?
