If you’re likely to be bobtailing about don’t forget the back of the cab for putting something like a web address, or more, on. If you get one load off the back of it it’d pay for the vinyl lettering ten times over.

Now Harry just finished another 3500k round trip this week in Maggie which I have done for 5 years now in…Maggie.Faults none worth mentioning but and there is always a but…electrical faults do come up regularly…not that they relate to any fault with the wagon just seem to keep coming up and after 5 years I have learnt to IGNORE them. She runs on mineral oil wouldn’t use anything else just using the very long dipstick to check it now and again but she doesn’t seem to use oil maybe a gallon every few months between oil changes if that. She is sitting at 885,000 k and I think she;ll see me out at about 1.5 million. So I wish you and your rig well and I doubt it cost you too much and I will repeat what I have said on here before I have owned top of the range Scania’s,top of the range Mercedes and thats a laugh and neither company is fit to kiss Renaults ■■■■.ENJOY!
Great choice Harry…magnificent machine. Enjoy. And hope…as it will… it makes you a good living.
Best of luck in your new venture.
Harry, I take it that it wasn’t you I saw southbound over the Thelwall Viaduct on the M6 at 14:50 with a 40’ box, if it wasn’t you it must’ve been the ‘sistership’ to the one you’ve bought.

Not me, haven’t collected it yet, it’s having the tacho calibrated today and the recall attended to, must have been the 56 reg.

Harry when you pick it up why not give that mob from Norfolk a call and see if they have any empty trailers they need delivering on the way down, even if it only covers the fuel costs it saves you the money…
Nice one HM! Remember to try & do a diary into your first week, would be interesting! (Not in a bad way )
Good luck harry been following your progress and i think you have certanly done your homework and preparation no reason why you shouldent be succesfull
pleased for you harry, saw the 56 plate on my way back from newark today, looks like hes caught the sun visor n snapped it half off , u definetly have a good buy though. does it still have the yellow curtains fitted with the renault logo’s tie backs?
Hi Harry,
Well I think you have made a very good choice with a Magnum, I have just sold a 430 that I had for 5 years and apart from the air pipe from the compressor to the airdryer blowing off(18mil olive) it’s been as good as my Scania’s and Volvo’s.
I use Renault Trucks Essex at Purfleet for my parts, but you must only speak to Paul the parts manager because he will alway try and help with very good prices for parts, I have just got a new Rad for a friend of mine who had been quoted from two other Renault dealers 1020 and 1050, Paul done the Rad for 650 and I placed the order at 4.20pm and it was in there depot at 6am the next morning and collected at 0715am and on it’s way to Habay to be fitted.
Well, the best of Luck and if I can be of any assistance, please do not hesitiate to contact me.
Best regards
JJSL
